Ozzy kid is ready to play
|
AIMEE Osbourne, the one member of the family who refused to appear in their TV show, will launch herself as a soul singer.
Aimee's record deal comes three years after the Osbournes' hit MTV show was launched.
At that time she chose not to appear in the program fearing it would jeopardise her career plans as a musician.
"Aimee has always been terrified of being accused of riding on her parents' coat-tails," a source said. "But while millions of viewers have been monitoring her family's every move, Aimee has been busy writing her own material."

Ozzy to perform with Black Sabbath at annual Roskilde Festival
|
Ozzy Osbourne and his band, heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath, will be one of the top names at this year's Roskilde Festival, one of Europe's largest music events, organizers said Wednesday.
British-born Osbourne and the group will perform in Roskilde, 40 kilometres west of Copenhagen, taking place June 30-July 3. It will be the band's sole summer festival appearance, organizers said in a statement, adding Green Day and The Dears were also on the 2005 program for the four-day festival.
Last year, 75,000 tickets were sold for the outdoor event where more than 150 artists performed on Roskilde's six stages, including the Pixies, Morrissey, Sahara Hotnights and Avril Lavigne.
Osbourne, who grew up in Birmingham, central England, rose to stardom with heavy metal group Black Sabbath in the 1970s before launching a solo career.
First held in 1971, the festival in Roskilde, 40 kilometres west of the capital, Copenhagen, was inspired by the 1969 Woodstock Festival in upstate New York. The event, which in recent years has appeared on MTV, attracts visitors from throughout Europe and the United States.

Ozzy bins Buckethead
|
Ozzy Osbourne has ditched plans to link up with former Guns N' Roses star Buckethead - because the guitarist refused to lose his famous look.
The guitarist was called in as Ozzy's possible latest guitarist for this year's Ozzfest tour, but Osbourne admits he couldn't persuade the eccentric axeman to ditch his trademark KFC bucket hat and white facemask - and he refused to call him Buckethead.
Ozzy tells rock magazine Revolver: "I met him and asked him to work with me but only if he got rid of the f**king bucket.
"I came back a bit later and he's wearing this green f**king Martian's-hat thing. I said: 'Look, just be yourself.'
"He told me his name was Brian, so I said that's what I'd call him. He says: 'No one calls me Brian except my mother.' So I said: 'Pretend I'm your mum then.'"
Ozzy is now looking to reunite with former guitarist pal Zakk Wylde for the 10th anniversary tour this summer.
He adds: "He's f**king nuts. It depends on a lot of things. He'll probably be with me."

The five-bedroom mansion next door to the Osbournes' Beverly Hills home has sold for close to its $7.9 million (£4.15 million) asking price.
The home became famous in an episode of the hit MTV series when the rock 'n' roll family hurled ham, bread and cheese over their fence to protest against a late-night party being held by their now-former neighbours
