Prince discusses Osbourne theft
The Prince of Wales asked Sharon Osbourne about her £2m burglary and the health of her husband Ozzy after Tuesday's Royal Variety Performance.
Prince Charles talked to Osbourne backstage at the London Coliseum show, after she replaced her husband who was recovering from a shoulder operation.
Osbourne made a pre-recorded Crimewatch TV appeal for information on the burglary from her Buckinghamshire home.
The BBC One programme received 31 calls about the November burglary.
'Totally irreplaceable'
The Osbournes have offered a £100,000 reward for information leading to a conviction for the theft of their "totally irreplaceable" jewellery.
Ozzy Osbourne damaged a metal plate inserted in his arm as he confronted the intruder, requiring him to have surgery on Tuesday.
Following the Royal Variety Show, which also featured musicians Sir Elton John and Liza Minnelli, Prince Charles asked Sharon Osbourne: "How's Ozzy?" and told her: "I heard about your burglary."
She replied: "It was awful, but thankfully Ozzy is OK."

Ozzy out of Royal Variety show
Ozzy Osbourne has pulled out of the Royal Variety Performance due to a recurring injury suffered during his quad bike accident.
The star had a metal plate inserted into his shoulder after the smash a year ago.
The plate is now causing him so much pain that he needs another operation to adjust it as soon as possible.
Ozzy had been due to perform for the Prince of Wales at the London Coliseum.
His wife Sharon and daughter Kelly will appear on stage to send his apologies to the audience.
A statement from Ozzy's record company said: "Ozzy Osbourne has reluctantly cancelled his appearance at tonight's performance due to a re-occurring problem with a plate inserted into his shoulder after his quad bike accident exactly one year ago.
"Adjustments need to be made to the plate which is making Ozzy very uncomfortable at present.
"Although having made a remarkable recovery from the life-threatening accident, Ozzy needs the procedure as soon as possible."
The ex-Black Sabbath star broke his collarbone, eight ribs and a vertebra in his neck after the accident at his Buckinghamshire mansion.
The recurring injury is the latest bad luck to hit the singer. Last month he grappled with a burglar who broke into his home while he and Sharon were there. The raiders escaped with £2 million-worth of jewellery.

Ozzy expresses shock at shooting
Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has expressed his shock at the death of guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, who was shot at a concert on Wednesday.
Former Pantera star Abbott was one of five people killed in Ohio as his band Damageplan took to the stage.
Black Sabbath frontman Osbourne, who often toured with the 38-year-old, said: "I'm absolutely beside myself with grief.
"I can't for the life of me understand why someone would do this."
Abbott and three others were shot when a man stormed the stage at the Alrosa Villa Club in Columbus and began firing at the band and crowd.
Nathan Gale, 25, was then shot and killed by a police officer who arrived shortly after the first shots were fired.
The other men killed were named as club employee Erin Halk, 29, fan Nathan Bray, 23, and Jeff Thompson, 40, who was affiliated with the band.
No motive
Two other people were taken to hospital following the incident but their condition is unknown.
No motive has yet been established for the rampage, although Sgt Brent Mull said witnesses had described hearing Gale accuse Abbott of being behind the split of the Grammy-nominated heavy metal band Pantera.
Floral tributes have been laid outside the concert venue as fans pay their respect to the guitarist and the others who died.
A candlelit vigil was also held outside the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan, where Damageplan had been due to perform on Thursday night.
Rock world stunned
The hard rock world has been left stunned by the killings. The metal band Drowning Pool cancelled its tour as a mark of respect.
"No one knows why some people do the heinous things they do," the band said in a statement.
"Dimebag Darrell was the epitome of rock and roll. He wasn't just a player that all guitarists aspired to be, but the genuine article and a true friend."
Chimaira lead singer Mark Hunter said Abbott "changed the way metal music was written with his guitar playing".
"I don't know anybody in a band who hasn't stolen a few guitar riffs from him," he added.
Grammy nomination
Damageplan were formed in 2003 by guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell and drummer brother Vinnie Paul after their former band, Pantera, split up.
Pantera were one of the most popular metal bands of the early 1990s, topping the US album charts and getting a Grammy nomination for 1994 release Far Beyond Driven.
The pair were joined in Damageplan by singer Pat Lachman and bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha.

OSBOURNES OFFER £100k REWARD"
illustration
ROCKER Ozzy Osbourne today offered a £100,000 reward for the return of gems stolen from his Buckinghamshire mansion.
Making an emotional appeal for the return of £2million worth of jewels, he also recalled the terrifying moment he tackled a raider in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The former Black Sabbath frontman said: "I acted purely on impulse. In hindsight, it could have been a lot worse. It could have got really ugly. I just thank God that no one got injured."
Shaken Ozzy told how he could have ended up like Beatle George Harrison, who was stabbed by an intruder at his country pile in 1999.
But when asked if he would tackle a burglar again he responded: "Is the Pope a Catholic?"
Wife Sharon, sitting alongside him, said a thief snatched wedding rings from her bedside table while she slept.
She talked through a series of photographs of pieces taken during the raid, explaining their sentimental significance.
She said: "I am sure people will look at us and think 'they have got more money and they can buy it again', but the thing is we have worked for everything we have.
"I came from Brixton and Ozzy came from a not very nice part of Birmingham. We worked our a***s off for everything we have got. And when someone comes who hasn't worked and wants to take what's yours it p****s me off big time."
Detective Inspector Paul Miller of Thames Valley Police said security at the Osbourne's home had been reviewed and added that he was "keeping an open mind" on the possibility that it was an inside job.
Anyone with information should call Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
